This role is responsible for the engineering and solution design of the platforms used by the eDiscovery operating team. This position is a blend of technical application specialist and eDiscovery workflow architect.
The position will require product knowledge and extensive subject matter expertise including but not limited to
eDiscovery methodologies and platforms,
Various data repositories and respective search interfaces (SolR, SQL, LDAP).
In addition to the command of the application feature sets, a successful candidate must be able to use this expertise throughout the full life - cycle of complex electronic discovery projects from data collection through document production. The candidate will be expected to consult with internal clients on a regular basis regarding on boarding of various data sources into our data capture solutions as well as complex, multi - party document review workflows leveraging multiple software solutions. The candidate will be expected to communicate regularly with Project Managers and clients to negotiate workflow timelines and schedules, resolve complex review workflow issues, detail highly technical concepts to non - technical audiences, consult upon and document eDiscovery best practices and procedures, and provide creative data analytics and search solution expertise.
A working knowledge of relational database and ediscovery platforms is desired. The candidate must demonstrate hands on capacity to manipulate and transform data within and between eDiscovery software platforms using both manual and automated methods.
The candidate will deliver the design and test process for the chosen product set, working closely with the information security group, IT policy owners, end user technologies specialists, and application architects. Furthermore the candidate will document, communicate and share the technology roadmap for this platform - and engage in its deployment with the respective stakeholders.
Minimum of 5 years' experience on building/engineering aspects of eDiscovery platforms for structured or unstructured data including the following;
Strong Experience with eDiscovery processes and eDiscovery Reference Model components
Strong Experience with messaging data capture (Instant Messaging platforms and MS Exchange)
Strong experience with Windows File Share and Sharepoint (including data capture),
Experience with a Data Governance platforms
Novell File Management Suite or HP Control Point or other similar platforms.
Strong information security understanding (access controls and recertification),
Strong Active Directory security experience,
Strong experience monitoring an enterprise infrastructure including extracting and visualizing meaningful statistics
Experience in the Financial Services sector or another similarly highly regulated sector
Experience in implementing platforms allowing for the discovery, analysis and management of data; records retention and disposition; compliance; and storage optimization initiatives
Building on a very strong technical knowledge and experience base in the above areas candidates must be highly articulate and persuasive communicators, with strong collaboration and teamwork skills and a proven ability to manage the delivery of innovative solutions to a large, geographically diverse global enterprise.
Educated to Bachelors or Masters degree level in Computer Science, or a related discipline, from an accredited college or university.
Relevant professional certification, etc. also beneficial.
Have worked in the Financial sector - thus understanding of regulations that pertain to eDiscovery
Minimum of 5 years as eDiscovery architect or unstructured data governance architect or lead engineer level experience including;
Enterprise scale architecture and engineering of data capture and governance solutions
Integration of file sharing solutions into enterprise-scale user domain including security and associated provisioning, management and monitoring tools
Creation, maintenance and communication of technology roadmaps
Project management of technical and engineering deliverables
Design and test of infrastructure and end-user components
Technology Roadmap documentation and communication
Management of 3rd-line support incidents and problems to closure
Liaison with vendor product management and developer communities
Liaison with internal Architecture, Production and application developer communities
