Description

We currently have a vacancy for an IT infrastructure professional based in Belgium. He/she will be member of the Infrastructure Shared Services & CoE within the BOS (Back Office Services) team supporting services as WAN, LAN, WLAN, IP-Tel, Audio & Video conferencing, Directory Services and Datacenter services on a Global level.
You will provide clear strategies and technical project leadership with focus on the business requirements. You will be part of a team that promote collaboration and using best practices in the area of IT infrastructure to drive business value results. More specifically, you will take ownership over the services of the predefined scope, but will participate in the other specialties as well.
The priorities for this role include:
•Define the medium and long-term strategy within a predefined scope, but always according to the larger enterprise strategy.
•Ensure we invests in the most valuable projects and create economies of scale for our service offering. In addition, coordination across other corporate interests is needed to enable the GCC to deliver value.
•Within your predefined scope, you should offer support to the business lines. This may be through services needed, or providing subject matter experts.
•Define standards, best practices, methodologies, templates and knowledge repositories and asses (or help others to assess) the maturity profile of all regions against these best practices and standards. In addition, you will provide direct (i.e., in-person) and/or indirect (e.g., instructional content, tools & templates, etc.) guidance and support to assist the regions in implementing these best practices and standards.
•You should be able to demonstrate you are delivering the valued results that justified their creation through the use of output metrics.
•Design and develop ICT infrastructure platforms and supporting services in general but be expert and take ownership in the predefined scope
•Actively participate in projects and manage projects
•Continuously evaluate and drive improvements
•Keep up with technology evolutions and promote its application where beneficial
•Be capable to execute technical activities for services in place, including second line support
Profile:
•Has 5-10 years of relevant IT experience so you have a demonstrable in-depth knowledge of various infrastructure products
•Experienced to operate in a complex international environment is required, to understand and to benefit from the different cultures and expectations.
•Effective communication skills both with customers, services and solutions providers are essential
•You have a higher education (Bachelor or equivalent)
•You can work independently but also enjoy working in a team
•Detailed knowledge and understanding of all Infrastructure services which are required to support and improve the business processes
•Project and Service Management skills are essential
•Good understanding about Change Management
•Very knowledgeable in problem solving and testing techniques and tools.
•Fluent in English, both verbal and written
