Description
Overview: We are looking for a contract Payroll Manager to manage a global company's payroll operations to ensure payrolls are processed accurately, paid timely, and comply with applicable regulations (ie, U.S. Wage and Hour, IRS). Other duties may include developing and implementing strategies, collaborating with cross-functional areas, providing statistical data and reports, supporting merger & acquisition initiatives, and more.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or an equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience.
- Demonstrated success in effectively overseeing a payroll department with direct reports.
- Minimum 8 years' of end-to-end payroll processing experience in a multi-state/large employer environment, public and/or global environments
- Minimum 6 years' of payroll management experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years' of team leadership and development experience
- Recent experience using a web-based payroll and HRIS application, preferably ADP. Proficient in MS Office Suite.
Preferred:
- Recent knowledge of multi-state tax and wage and hour laws required. Stock tax reporting requirements from payroll's perspective
- An active Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation
