Support Analyst (Payment Transactions and Cash Management)

Support Analyst (Payment Transactions and Cash Management) is urgently required to join a very long term project with our market leading banking client in Amsterdam. The Support Analyst (Payment Transactions and Cash Management) will be responsible for operational aspects of a Payments application, that offers a broad coverage of payment products and cash management services. The work involves close co-operation with a software supplier, business and internal teams to deliver high quality IT solutions across a chain of integrated systems.

The Support Analyst (Payment Transactions and Cash Management) will ideally have at least 65% of the following skills and experience:

  • Experience and in-depth knowledge of WebSphere, Oracle, Linux and Middleware software (eg XFB, JMS and MQ).
  • Excellent knowledge of Scripting, at least on Shell and wsadmin.
  • Good knowledge of Java and related technologies for web services.
  • You value the automation of work and can deliver good solutions for enhanced monitoring, alerting, tests and other regular checks on the application.
  • You have experience with performance testing for critical applications using HP Performance Centre or other technologies
  • You have excellent analytical skills to discuss: the root cause of incidents and their solution; the impact of technical (and functional) changes; the execution and validation of software tests (eg security, performance, regression, E2E)
  • You handle application risk controls in an efficient way, proactively contributing to prevent security and operational risks.
  • You enforce that the right levels of Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of the application are preserved.
  • You apply the principles of continuous delivery and contribute to achieving continuous integration, mastering the configuration and usage of related tooling, eg GIT, Jenkins, Artifactory, Nolio and Docker.
  • Agile principles and ITIL best practices are Embedded in your way of working. You have good experience with ITIL processes for problem, incident, change, configuration, capacity and life cycle management
  • You have good knowledge of domestic, SEPA, and true international payments.
  • You have good understanding of account management, authorizations and other administrative banking functions of payment transactions and cash management systems.
  • You are flexible adapting to new approaches and to making improvements when necessary, without over-engineering your work.
