My client, a leading international consultancy, are looking for an experienced Oracle DBA to join for an initial 6 months based in Luxembourg.

This will be working with a prestigious and well known end-client, and is likely to run significantly longer than the initial duration.

Activities

Daily management of the database platforms;
Perform troubleshooting, incident response and patching in a timely manner;
Coordinate with vendors and support team on problem resolution, design issues and upgrades;
Develop and implement strategies for migration, consolidation and upgrade of database components;
Work with Developers and Architects in developing database configurations based on requirements;
Create and maintain documentation for installations, changes and upgrades;
Evaluate system architecture and make recommendations in order to follow the best practices;
In general, all tasks assigned involving databases in the scope of the mission.

Oracle and Oracle RAC database;

IBM DB2 UDB database;

Microsoft SQL Server;

Oracle Cloud Control 12c;
