EMAIL ENGINEER (MS EXCHANGE 2010, POWERSHELL 2.0, IMAP, SMTP, TCP/IP, FAX, SMS-TEXT)
This contract is with a consultancy in Brussels to be on an assignment at a large European site as follows:-
As Exchange Engineer, You are responsible for the following tasks:
Product support of Microsoft Exchange 2010
Answering calls within stated guideliness
Analyzing and interpreting complex client inquiries to ascertain them and solve them
Providing accurate and creative solutions to complex client problems meeting all pre-defined quality measurements
Daily monitoring
Collating performance reporting information eg call and fault statistics.
Coordinating with 3rd party maintenance contractors
Developing scripts to automate and monitor recurrent systems related tasks (Powershell 2.0 and/or others)
Requires:- It education; Between 5 and 12 years experience in IT
Service Requirements: Integration, deployment and operation of E-mail solutions for large organisations (min. 3000 mailboxes), 6 years of experience. Design of E-mail solutions is seen as a plus.
Certifications: MS Exchange 2010 is a MUST; MS Windows Server 2008 D is seen as a plus
Methodology: ITIL
Experience with these following Protocols: IMAP, SMTP, POP3, ActiveSync, S/MIME; TCP/IP; FAX and SMS-TEXT gateways
Experience with these following Programming/Scripting Languages: Powershell 2.0 (mandatory); Perl, BASH, VBscripts, WSH, batch (an asset).
Other product/tools: Cisco Ironport; Symantec Enterprise Vault; MS Outlook 2010 configuring and programming; MS SCOM 2012 Monitoring and Reporting
