Shipping Operations Analyst: World Leading Trading and Shipping Company

World Leading Global Energy Trading Company has an exciting opportunity for an Shipping Operations Analyst to:

  • To assist in the financial and operational administration of the Trading Port Agency network.
  • Preparation for auditing online disbursement accounts for 10% of port calls.
  • Assist in the management of the Hub Agency contracts, maintaining databases to track spend, measure KPI's and value improvements, and assist with provision of Management Information.
  • Maintain the Agency Manual and associated Hub management data, issuing updates as necessary.
  • Renewal and maintenance of Port Agent Assurance procedures.
  • Maintain accurate port and hub agent details in Radar and MDN
  • Manage Port Information and Agents daily report communications to the Business
  • Distribution of Trading Information to the Hub agents including regular updates on Time Charter and Managed Fleet Vessel lists, and approved launches.

You Need:

  • Some port agency/shipping/trading/accounts payable experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, including ability to write clearly and concisely.
  • Commercial awareness and numeracy skills
  • Good interpersonal and team working skills
  • Ability to work and think independently Excel spread sheet skills.
  • Basic Proficiency in additional language(s) would be of benefit .

This needs combining with a positive attitude and an ability to work within a large, globally dispersed project team in a multi-cultural environment. You also need to be a self-starter, a logical thinker and a quick learner, with strong initiative and excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, able to write clearly and concisely.
