Description

My client a global media organisation based in West London are looking for and Eloqua Architect to provide the discipline of technical architecture for the Eloqua platform, including the delivery of technical designs and working with integration and technical teams to implement functionality to cost, quality and schedule.

Ideal candidate profile:

  • 5 years' experience in a Technical Architect role and 10 years' experience in a development role. Experience of working with development teams in both on and offshore environments.
  • 3 - 5 years' experience with Eloqua's Automated Marketing Solution, designing, programming, managing, customizing and launching campaigns and demand generation solutions and reporting on results
  • Proficiency with Salesforce.com and experience of integrating Eloqua with Salesforce
  • Experience of OBIEE, particularly OBIEE Segment Manager
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (both written and oral) and presentation skills to explain complex terminology and initiatives in straightforward terms to various audiences.
  • Excellent ability to think clearly, analyse problems logically and make correct decisions under extreme pressure.
  • Self-starter with initiative, who demonstrates great pro-activeness, the ability to both lead and work within a team, and to manage up, down and across the organisation.
  • Expert knowledge of, and experience with, various IT application development methodologies (eg Agile, Waterfall and blended models), software engineering concepts, best practices, future trends, architecture patterns and associated technologies.
  • Excellent knowledge of different types of applications, including brokering, multitenant, information consumer and information provider applications, as well as a broad range of commercial off the shelf products and systems, including the Oracle suite of products (specifically, Customer Data Hub, eBusiness Suite, Hyperion and Eloqua) and Salesforce.
  • Excellent knowledge of conceptual, logical and physical Datamodelling tools, with proficiency in the use of at least one ERD modelling tool.
  • Good understanding of fraud and data protection laws, service level agreements, enterprise continuums, management utilities, and stakeholder management.
  • Excellent knowledge of typical development tools, including IDEs, source control systems, build automation tools, and automated testing tools.

Key responsibilities:

  • Delivering various technical designs and related artefacts to development teams, including application designs, data models and solution models, to facilitate the development of an appropriate system to meet captured business requirements.
  • Designing, applying and enforcing architecture principles, standards, patterns and practices for technical design and development teams, and ensuring that these principles support the needs of other IT work-streams.
  • Leading impact analysis and leveraging his/her own expert knowledge of system behaviour to determine the effect of a business requirement, or technical change, on current systems and processes.
  • Leading the design of appropriate architecture views and view points, including UML diagrams (eg sequence, use case, class, activity and state diagrams), to help convey architectural or technical information to different audiences.
  • Providing guidance to developers and other architects to help break down complex problems or systems into smaller, more manageable parts, which are easier to program and maintain.
  • Providing guidance around the design and development of best practice application programming interfaces (APIs), algorithms, data structures, data interchange, authentication and authorisation, and systems that require globalisation and localisation.
  • Supporting and defining the transition of Legacy systems and processes to the clients target enterprise architecture vision.
  • Liaising closely with other members of the Architecture team to review and understand requirements (both high-level and detailed), business cases, use cases, business processes, business metrics and functional specifications.
  • Supporting the delivery of cost benefit analyses and gap analyses.
  • Understanding the clients global policies and how different components of the client work with one another.
  • Transferring knowledge throughout the team as well as supporting the delivery of technical training material, including providing input, reviewing and approving material.
  • Managing third-party partners, where required, ensuring all development standards are met.
  • Driving issue management, including the resolution of issues in general and conveying changes in technical solutions to all affected parties, and the management of risks, including identification, assessment and prioritisation of risks.
  • Working with other members of the Solution Architecture team to drive the strategic architecture and roadmap.
