Marketing Manager - Senior

3 Month contract - Maidenhead

£40-45 per hour

The Marketing Manager role in the EMEA region is an important role with heavy focus on strategy development and implementation and influencing of key stakeholders. Successful applicants for this role should have a strong track record of defining and deploying brand strategy, driving brand growth and extensive progressive levels of responsibility. This position reports into the Senior Marketing Manager, Baby EMEA and will be based in Maidenhead, UK.

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for leading projects designed to develop the Baby Care need state and will work with the Regional Franchise Leadership Team to develop the Baby Care need state strategy in the EMEA region. In addition, this person will contribute to the development of the regional strategic plan in line with the global strategy.

Main duties and responsibilities:
Specifically, the Marketing Manager will:
Crystallise regional and local insight to influence global creative process and innovation to drive relevance with consumers.
Take a leadership role in the Regional Franchise Leadership Team (RFLT), w/deep understanding & alignment to Region Strategies, Tactics & KPIs
Maintain close partnership with Commercial Leaders and local brand teams
Gain local insight/market intimacy with focus on key markets that represent 80% of Volume:
Visit markets as needed, frequent calls to connect with local teams
Responsible for strategic direction of regional brands to ensure a holistic strategy for all markets within region
Conduit of communication between Local Market and Global
Represent & Reinforce Global Vision & Strategy for Need States & Brands within Region
Educate Global team on Local Market nuances, needs & competitive environment
Work with the Regional project team to implement innovation
Partner w/regional supply chain/Project Management to implement regional initiatives
Lead project team for formulation development (based on global chassis, respecting regional regulations and supply chain requirements)
Partner with the markets to identify opportunities for growth
Work with the markets to develop defence strategies against key existing and new competitors.

In addition, the Marketing Manager will identify opportunities to accelerate growth in existing priority markets and develop entry strategies for new markets in partnership with local marketing teams. He or she will develop transferable success models across countries, transferring learning's and global best practices, in partnership with the Global Franchise Leadership Team.
A BA degree is required.
Master in business or marketing specialisation preferred.
Extensive progressive experience in setting a vision and executing in a similar integrated brand leadership role within a consumer packaged goods organisation, preferably with a breadth of functional and/or industry experience is required.
Experience marketing in a digital world, (ie, social media, E-commerce, analytics, on-line) is required.
Experience working in a global organisation and collaborating with regional groups is preferred.
Demonstrated track record of leadership is required
Experience leading in a Matrix environment and cross functional teams is required.
Experience in successful partnership with R&D organisations to develop innovative products supported by specific and relevant brand messaging is required.
Demonstrated financial acumen in making effective business decisions is required.
Experience in providing marketing thought leadership-taking consumer insight and using it to drive thinking and good decisions, is required.
Demonstrated skill in executing and delivering brand leadership in a similar integrated brand leadership role is required
Proven record in project management (preferably at global/regional level) is required.
