Job description
Our client have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Integration Developer in Dublin 15, Ireland. This will be an individual contributor role requiring significant knowledge of multiple technology platforms. The successful candidate will work alone or as a member of a collaborative work group. In either case, the Systems Integration Developer will elicit business requirements and fulfil those requirements by deploying IT solutions.
The Systems Integration Developer provides technical expertise, team leadership and direction, project coordination and facilitation for application development efforts.
Elicits business requirements and documents them as functional specifications.
Translates functional specifications into technical specifications.
Designs, constructs tests and deploys; or leads others who design or construct or test or deploy, effective and efficient software solutions.
Supports business users of the system by maintaining subject matter expertise, developing appropriate documentation, training end users or other technical resources, enhancing the solution as required and supporting break-fix efforts as required.
Uses a variety of methods to communicate with all stakeholder audiences on a regular and consistent basis.
Reviews applications development results, compares them with established objectives, and takes action that enhances outcomes.
Performs other duties as required
Must be willing to travel 10% of time, as required
Required Skills:
Experience delivering solutions using multiple technologies including:
Integration tools like IBM WebSphere Message Broker/Message Broker Developer/WMQ Administrator
Microsoft BizTalk
Tools and methods like UML, XML and SQL
Experience working with Oracle DBs a plus
Programming frameworks like .Net, C and variants and Java and related tools
IBM WebSphere Message Extender (WTx)
Strong Unix background
Strong Shell Scripting experience
Experience in WMB and WMQ Administration
Experience of working within Middleware
Experience in large corporate environment
Experience using WMQ Explorer and WMB Toolkit
Experience Creating queue managers, defining channels, queues and clusters in WMQ
Experience in administrating Java Application Server will be a plus
Strong verbal and written English skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to make decisions with limited information.
Ability to take independent action and/or proactively create opportunities to resolve or prevent problems
Ability to thrive in a changing environment
Subject matter expertise related to process management, systems development methodologies
Experience on supply chain and 3PL operations and processes is a plus
Expertise in project planning and control tools and techniques
Education/Qualification:
4+ years of IT development experience using the indicated knowledge, skills and abilities to construct and deploy complex technology solutions.
Degree Level or equivalent
Breath of business experience important, opportunity to grow skill set as real interaction with clients
