Software Design Engineer in Test (SDET)
We're representing a world class leader in technology services in their search for a Software Design Engineer with hands-on software testing and quality assurance experience including functional, smoke, system and regression testing to join their team of experts in Dublin.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- This job function is responsible for design, develop, document, implement and execute manual/automated tests for diverse suite of software products/applications.
- This will include closely working with application owners/development teams as part of development process in testing functional/technical requirements and defects.
- The prime focus will be on writing/debugging test cases in Python and/or JAVA. This will require running both manual and automated tests on QA builds and reviewing their result.
Required Skills:
- Hands-On programming experience in Python and/or JAVA
- Hands-On software testing and quality assurance experience including functional, smoke, system and regression testing
- Should be able to create high quality and maintainable automation code and test cases
- Strong debugging, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written, verbal and analytical skills
- Knowledge of automation testing and related tools
- Experience working in remote/virtual teams
- Ability to work in fast paced multi-team test development
- Bachelor's or Master's degree or foreign equivalent
- 4-10 years of experience in software development life cycle
