Role: Web Analyst
Day rate: Up to £250
Contract length: 3 months
Location: Central London
Additional info: ASAP start

One of the UK's largest consumer websites, with over 15 million users a month, are looking for a talented Web Analyst for a 3 month contract.

This is a critical role in a small team for a highly analytical digital analyst, who will work closely with the commercial team to analyse and report on the performance of the client's sites, tools and apps.

The ideal candidate is someone with experience of website performance analysis, who's passionate about numbers, who can interpret data, translate statistics into stories, turn research into meaningful, actionable insights and engage with various audiences. They must be creative and practical, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Key tasks and deliverables- Web analyst

  • Work with stakeholders across the business to define KPIs
  • Own KPI dashboards and reports, and distribute as relevant
  • Create trade packs and board level reporting
  • Own the reporting calendar
  • Report on website activity in trade meetings
  • Work with the data product team to define new reports and data sources
  • Respond to ad-hoc data/analysis requests
  • Continuously analyse performance of sites and apps, regularly communicate findings to stakeholders across the business
  • Analyse performance of CRM and acquisition activities
  • Be a spokesperson for the analytics function, using data visualisation techniques and interpersonal skills to engage with other teams
  • Provide stakeholders with meaningful, actionable analysis
  • Competitor analysis

  • Responsible for reporting on KPIs and supporting metrics
  • Responsible for analysing site and campaign performance
  • Responsible for regularly reporting on analysis and distributing insight
  • Responsible for prioritising and responding to ad hoc data/analysis requests

Experience
Essential

  • Experience of analysing the performance of websites and marketing activities
  • Good MS Excel skills, including formulae and pivot tables
  • Good working knowledge of Google Analytics or similar analytics tool, including goals, events and reports
  • A creative approach to problem solving
  • Understanding of digital marketing industry and acquisition

Desirable

  • An understanding of project management principles (Agile preferred)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work to deadline and under pressure
  • Must be able to manage own workflow
  • Creative approach to communication of data
  • Educated to degree level in a numerate discipline or comparable on the job experience
