Description

I am currently recruiting for Clinical Coder to work for my client in the public sector. This is an initial a 3 month's contract. Pay rate of £160 per day. My client is based in East London. As a Clinical coder will be required to participate in coding audits/validation and assist in the provision of high quality information required by the organisation in a timely and accurate manner.

To provide an efficient, reliable and responsive clinical coding service to the Trust in order to provide data on the Trust's clinical activities, by abstracting information from various clinical documents and translating into diagnostic and procedure codes.

Act as expert Clinical Coder for designated specialities across the Trust and communicate to medical and non-medical staff complex coding rules related to coding queries and national coding standards.

The Ideal Candidate should have the following skills and experiences:

Wide range of experience in coding ICD-10 & OPCS 4
In-depth knowledge of Cerner & 3M encoder

Expert understanding of:

ICD-10, OPCS and NHS coding standards and conventions and payment by results
Accredited Clinical Coder
With a wealth of experience
ACC (Accredited clinical coding qualification)
Sound knowledge of PbR payment by results & HRG's (Health resource groups)
Excellent problem solving ability, analytical and judgement skills, demonstrate high levels of ability and initiative in assessing complex coding issues and to make recommendations, ability to prioritise and plan personal workloads
