GIS Applications Developer
Brief Overview
My Client are currently looking for an Applications Developer within GIS to join their team in Greenford on a contract for around 3 months initially.
They are looking for a candidate with extensive experience in web development to support their projects worldwide.
The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following key tasks and responsibilities:
- Environment set-up and configuration.
- Supporting, enhancing and building dynamic web GIS and data integration applications.
- Designing, developing and testing user interfaces for web applications.
Job Skills
The successful candidate should possess demonstrable experience in a similar role or environment and have the following key skills:
- Strong and wide-ranging web development skills, including JavaScript, Java EE or Flex and ColdFusion.
- Strong skills in presentation layer technologies including HTML5 and/or Apache Flex.
- Experience developing GIS web applications based on ESRI enterprise technology.
- Experience of ArcGIS Server Javascript and Flex APIs.
- Experience of building and interacting with ESRI Geoprocessing services.
- Experience of building applications that interact with MS SQL and ArcSDE.
- An enthusiastic team player, effective communicator and able to work individually and also as part of a wider development team.
- Able to understand, discuss and implement functional and non-functional requirements
Desirable Skills
- Mobile development experience.
- Open Source GIS development experience.
- Adobe ColdFusion experience.
- Hydrocarbons pipelines experience.
- Experience of GPS/mobile data capture
