Job Title: Web designer (UX/Creative)
Reports To: Web Platform Lead Developer
Purpose of the Role:
Responsible for ensuring that the end product achieves its core objectives whilst providing it's users with the most effective, efficient and enjoyable experience as possible.
Key responsibilities include:
Executing interaction design and visual design as a part of a multi-disciplinary team using Sketch, Fireworks & Photoshop.
In browser HTML & CSS design beneficial.
Designing digital products and solutions that meet business requirements and user needs within the technical constraints of the project
Collaborating on user experience planning with a design lead and product owner.
Consulting with clients and lead experience architect.
Researching interaction design trends.
Researching technology trends.
Person Specification:
The job holder should have the following skills:
Good understanding of user centred design
Advanced Sketch, Fireworks and Photoshop skills.
Design skills and production value.
Attention to detail.
Experience with user interface design patterns.
Strong conceptualisation ability, strong visual communication ability.
