Communications Manager with good web experience required for initial 3 month contract with public sector client in Edinburgh.

Duties will include:

  • development of agreed key messages to promote and support the functions activities;
  • identify key target groups and coordinate the engagement with these target groups;
  • create and managing a suite of communications activity, in particular harnessing digital and social media to raise awareness, clearly position and engage target groups in the work
  • specifically manage the ongoing development of the company web presence, managing external web development organisations as appropriate;
  • communications budget management;
  • the development and reporting of performance measurement for communications activity.
  • Develop and manage a small team (up to 3 people) to support the delivery of the Communications Plan

Essential Skills:

  • Experience working in a managerial role within a communication/marketing field
  • have the ability to manage traditional and new media to engage an audience;
  • personal credibility and experience to provide sound communications advice and guidance to senior colleagues.
  • Experience with similar duties as above
