Description

We are looking for a Network Radio Planning Engineer to be responsible for the radio and frequency planning design, maintenance and optimization of our customer's network project.

The Network Radio Planning Engineer will work alongside and support FM Radio Engineers in identifying, making recommendations and resolving identified faults on the network. The aim of this team is to ensure that the radio network is operating at the required level.

Candidates should be prepared to travel within Norway at short notice and remain away from home for a number of days in order to support FM Radio resources.

Responsibilities and main tasks:

- Work alongside FM Radio Engineers investigating identified or reported coverage issues.

- Make recommendations to authority, demonstrating improvements whilst minimizing "ripple" effect on the remainder of the network

- Work within strictly imposed boundaries where applicable (available fredquency, power, national boundaries etc.)

- Ensure Network Radio Planning meets contractual and customer requirements.

- Ensure owned tickets are updated regularly

- Represent the customer in a technical capacity

- Represent Operations in internal discussions relating to fault investigation/network optimization.

- Strive to ensure that all fault cases are handled within defined SLAs.

- Ensure provided tools are utilized to best effect to provide the greatest support in fault resolution.

- Provide Operations management with updates, recommendations etc. as and when required.

- Plan new sites, incorporating these into the existing network

- Work with Performance Analyst to access capacity requirements and provide any assistance necessary.

- Be rosponsible for surpporting tool operation (licensing etc)

- Updating and maintenance of relevant documentation.

Requirements:

- Engineering degree in relevant discipline

- 5+ years of relevant experience

- Good teamwork skills, along with the ability to work alone.

- English and Norwegian language skills are required.

- Diving Licence

Location: Oslo, Norway.

Start Date: 23rd September 2016

End date: 23rd December 2017 (with possible extension).
