Embedded Software Engineer

£400 per day
I am seeking an Embedded software engineer with experience of highly structured and engineering environments such as Aerospace/Military/Automotive etc.
Experience of the following:
- Programming and Scripting languages, for example C/C++, Python: Perl
- Embedded systems experience, ie: Real Time operating systems, device driver development deployment, cross-compilation tool-chains, debugging techniques, multi-threaded design
- Strong understanding of process and design methodologies, ie Configuration Management, Object Orientation, Design Patterns
- Architecture experience: PowerPC, ARM, x86.
- Version Control and Issue Tracking Systems: Mercurial, GIT, JIRA, Confluence
- Communications hardware and their device drivers, CAN, Ethernet, FlexRay, ARCNET, USB.
- Protocol stacks, TCP/IP, CANopen, EtherCAT, USB;
- Appreciation of electronic control systems and associated hardware; power electronic drive-stages, ADC, PWM, capture/compare modules.
