Systems administrator - DevOps - Windows - Scripting
You will be working on one of the most prestigious sites in Europe and will be instrumental in client and server related activities and work packages, including design, implementation and troubleshooting.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
The consultant will perform the following tasks/services in relation to Microsoft client and Servers related activities and work packages, including design, implementation and troubleshooting of:
- Shorten the time to deliver ICT applications into Production Environment
- Support the design and integration of the DevOps infrastructure delivery process
- Proactively collaborate in the definition and implementation of improvements to the DevOps Lifecycle Management methodologies and tools
- Develop the necessary methodology, scripts and procedures to enable deployment automation across multiple environments and multiple teams
- Create and maintain project-related technical documentation, including design and deployment documentation, in cooperation with the Architecture Team
- Maintain requirement changes, system model and work performed by developers and infrastructure engineers synchronised during the whole DevOps life cycle
- Evaluate and implement different options for DevOps based solutions/improvement
- Define/streamline processes within and between the Development and Operations teams in order to enhance deployment speed, quality and efficiency.
Skills and Experience:
- University degree and minimum of 7 years of professional experience
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in experience in designing, implementing and troubleshooting scripts;
- Experience with working in a DevOps environment using deployment automation tools
- Experience working alongside an agile development team
- Experience with system administration of Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and 2012 technologies
- Experience with Powershell Scripting such as Bash
- Experience with virtualisation technologies, such as VMware and PowerCli
- Knowledge of Information Technology, especially in the field of automated deployments
- Knowledge of software development methodologies that rely on strong cooperation between Development, Quality Assurance and Operations (DevOps)
- Knowledge of software integration and automation
- Knowledge of infrastructure concepts and technology and their impact on clients and services related to the business
- Knowledge of defining and implementing DevOps related processes and procedures
- Knowledge of Redhat Linux v6 or higher including upgrades and patching
- Knowledge of Shell Scripting (such as bash)
- Knowledge of Puppet 3.x or higher
- Knowledge of working with continuous integration and release (tools like TeamCity, Jenkins, Hudson, Nolio)
- Knowledge of version control repositories (tools like TFS, git, SVN)
- Fluent language skills in English, both written and spoken (B2 or higher)
- Candidates holding a valid certificate of good conduct or better, a security clearance, will be highly appreciated
