Integration Technical Lead required for a 6-12 month contract based in Dublin

The role required is to design, develop and implement an integration layer for the client so that data can be shared securely with systems (Consumers).

In addition to the core development, a major part of this role will involve involve facilitating planning and design discussions on behalf of the Programme Technical Lead with other necessary technical stakeholders.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • The planning and design of an integration layer to support interfaces for the client to enable communication with authorised Consumer Systems
    • Analysis of stated business requirements and provision of input into problem solving design
    • Input into approach and scope planning for development and testing
    • Identification of inputs required (analysis and design, technical components, documentation sources etc)
    • Engagement with necessary technical stakeholders to align design to the business needs and available technical options
    • Selection of appropriate technologies needed (eg, Java or other programming languages, SQL, HL7, XML, Webservices etc.) to integrate with Oracle OHMPI API(s) with a messaging network
    • Identification of required database schema changes
    • Researching and maintaining knowledge of national and international messaging and coding standards
    • Production of a design specification document
  • The development and maintenance of a design model agreed in conjunction with relevant technical and business stakeholders
    • Development of an integration layer or modules for the consumer system interfacing
    • Messaging validation
    • Implementation of identified standards relating to messaging, data, security, privacy or legal constraints where feasible
    • Maintaining and developing datasets and data models in compliance with national and international standards
    • Providing technical and software support for all elements of data and information security.
    • Collaboration with partners responsible for different elements of delivery
    • Production of test approach, schedule, cases etc.
    • Testing of software and data models throughout the development process and pre-release stages and regression testing of cumulative upgrades

  • The ability to manage flexible plans and adapt rapidly to change
  • Relevant experience in the delivery of IT solutions that have elements of data migration, interfacing and cross-organisation communication.
  • The ability to develop key documents or artefacts in a clear and succinct manner
  • Excellent planning skills
