Description
My client, a global insurer is looking for an ETL Analyst/Developer to work on a Data Platform project. R esponsibilities include high and low level solution design, implementation and maintenance and ensuring solutions meet functional and technical requirements.
Skills/Competencies Required:
Excellent development skills in InfoSphere, DataStage.
Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts, DB2, WebSphere MQ, SOA, XML is advantageous
Experience in developing/supporting large Unix based batch processes is desirable
Knowledge of Datamodelling and techniques
Previous experience with the Apache Hadoop stack and related technologies
Other technologies: Shell Scripting, Java, regular expressions, PL/SQL
Experience Required:
Minimum of 5 years at Senior Application development level working in enterprise scale IT systems
Primary or Secondary degree in a related technical discipline
Relevant vendor qualifications desirable
Working knowledge of General Insurance or Financial Services preferable
Prior experience in an international environment desirable
This is a daily rate contract role paying euros per day.
