How about working as a SCOM-focused Monitoring Administrator with an international client in Valencia, Spain.
One contract position is available for someone with a proven background in SCOM and monitoring environments within large IT networks. If successful, you'll get to join a global company that has a multinational team, providing remote IT support to end users around the globe. It's an English speaking environment and the successful person will complete an existing SCOM team that provides administration and operation of the client's monitoring infrastructure.

Monitoring/SCOM duties will include:
  • Administer the monitoring infrastructure, ensuring that it is stable, up to date, well designed, properly tuned and properly maintained
  • Extend the current infrastructure and/or implement a new infrastructure following capacity management plans
  • Provide guidance to Tier 1 workforce
  • Create relevant statistics for the several monitoring tools
  • Improve and configure the existing Management Packs
  • Develop ad-hoc management packs when required
  • Create relevant statistics for both monitoring team and monitoring users
  • Identify and troubleshoot known problems and document solutions.
  • Perform required tasks in maintenance windows.
  • The scope of work includes stand-by services on a rotation basis during weekends, holidays and outside of normal working hours
  • Perform other duties as required
As a suitable candidate you will have:
  • Four years or more of experience in SCOM for medium/large size organisations
  • Knowledge of HP NNMi, Nagios and GSX for Domino
  • Advanced knowledge of SCOM Management Pack development, XML, PowerShell
  • Good knowledge of Visual Basic and Bash Scripting.
  • Good knowledge on monitoring of Active Directory, Windows and Linux operating systems, SQL, SharePoint, Exchange and network devices
  • Experience in creation and maintaining Distributed Applications
  • Desirable support and maintain C# .NET applications
  • Excellent English language skills
  • Ideally some French or Spanish although this isn't required
  • The interest and ability to live and work in Valencia for the contract duration
