Senior Azure Architect/Consultant - Azure, PowerShell, JSON, Visual Studio
My client requires a Technical Cloud Azure Architect/Consultant who can assist in implementing a new reporting platform they we are developing within Azure (UK hosting).
Key Skills:
- PowerShell, JSON coding, Visual Studio and being able to create/develop scripts to provision VM's in Azure, VM's are Linux based.
- Must have skills in implementing numerous Networks vNet within Azure, ensuring they meet security requirements (eg Web network must not talk directly to Production network etc)
- Assist in implementing Azure Firewalls/load balancers to maintain network traffic separation/balancing load using Azure App Gateways/or similar technologies within Azure
- Being able to implement a secure VPN to the Azure environment, so we can connect/transfer data to our DC's
- Work with the monitoring team to come up with a suitable mechanism to monitor Azure VM's, Internally we use Netcool.
- The Azure platform needs to be resilient, so design/implement a resilience platform
Expectations:
The Azure Architect/Consultant will initially work with the TDA, and then be able to work independently to develop specific scripts/functions that can be incorporated in the overall solutions.
Deliverable's:
- Setup Azure environment so network security in place and work (separate traffic, load balancing)
- Setup VPN to Azure so we can connect to Azure platform and transfer data
- Setup monitoring so we can ensure services in Azure are working
- Design/implement Azure solution that is resilient and no single points of failure
- Provide knowledge transfer of anything developed to support team/TDA
