Support analyst (Unix/Hadoop)
Support analyst (Unix/Hadoop). One of my blue chip European clients is urgently seeking a Support analyst (Unix/Hadoop) for a 12 month contract in Milan, Italy. The Support analyst (Unix/Hadoop) will be expected to Support delivery requirements onsite/offshore model.
The Support analyst (Unix/Hadoop) will have the following experience:
- Experience: 3-5 years' experience in L1 support & batch Scheduling environment
- Must have operational expertise & good troubleshooting skills, understanding of system's capacity, bottlenecks, basics of memory, CPU, OS, storage, and networks.
- E1 level proficiency in Hadoop skills like HBase, Hive, Pig, Mahout, etc.
- Ability to deploy Hadoop cluster, add and remove nodes, keep track of jobs, monitor critical parts of the cluster, configure name-node high availability, schedule and configure it and take backups.
- Good knowledge of Linux as Hadoop runs on Linux.
- Knowledge of Troubleshooting Core Java Applications is a plus.
