Contract Administrator

Rate: /hr dependent on experience relevant to required skills and experience for this role

Type: Temp Assignment approximately 6-months

Start: 09/12/16 (pending clearance of pre-employment screening/verifications)

Location: Westlake 76262

Job Duties

  • Manage the workflow of preparing contracts, agreements and other legal documents in accordance with established SLAs, requirements, guidelines and standards.
  • Assist in the optimization and implementation of contract processes and standards.
  • Review and gather information; ensure that contracts are in compliance to company policy, government specifications, and other requirements.
  • Train users on the process, procedures and database functions to ensure efficient and effective production of work products. Escalate issues or procedural violations to management as needed.
  • Prepare and distribute reports and statistical data to facilitate planning and maintenance of accurate contract records and files.
  • Establish and maintain relationships within the business lines, contract managers, legal and sales groups to effectively understand needs and capabilities, and to effectively and efficiently complete document requests.
  • Organize, maintain and electronically track all contracts and related documents in system of record.
  • Maintain agreement templates library in SharePoint or other library of record.
  • Follows department policies and procedures and works within established guidelines
  • Escalates questions and issues to Manager

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Paralegal certification preferred.
  • 2-5 years of process/project management experience or other related experience.
  • Knowledge of contract development, contract standards and language.
  • Experience in a sales or transactional environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of sales cycles and contract processes
  • Customer service and teamwork skills
  • Excellent prioritization, planning and organization skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to influence without authority
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Flexibility to work successfully with a wide variety of personal styles and adapt to change
  • Able to work in a fast paced, high volume environment and manage within multiple deadlines

Education: BA/BS or equivalent experience required.
