Description

Job description:

  • (55%) Monitors/updates dispatch system and works incoming tickets as assigned. Provides troubleshooting, technical support and development of end-user guidelines. Configures, installs, monitors, and maintains IT users' Workstation software and hardware. Ensures proper backing up of data from user workstations and that tools and equipment are licensed and approved by IS purchasing. Ensures proper configuration and adherence to security configurations and settings.
  • (10%) Tests, troubleshoots, maintains, modifies, validates and documents application packages.
  • (10%) Documents configurations and standards so that colleagues can reference similar issues and improve resolution time. Assists other departments as needed to resolve issues.
  • (20%) May perform administrative task such as reporting, ordering replacement parts, and tracking status/inventory of items.
  • (5%) Keeps apprised of new technologies related to Workstation support procedures.

Candidate Technical Background:

  • A+ is required. All candidates must be A+ certified upon submission.
  • Desktop support experience to include Break/fix and Deployment experience.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Resolving incidents, handling service requests for both hardware and software requests dealing with workstations and printers. Support projects as needed. This is a very challenging opportunity for someone who wants to stretch and grow with the opportunity to obtain a vast amount of knowledge. A great team is in place to support this person.

Ideal Technical Background:

  • Overview knowledge of infrastructure, A+ certification, knowledge of asset management systems, large and diverse enterprise exposure, hardware and software troubleshooting experience in Windows environment.
