Our Medical device client in Norway is looking for Mechanical Product Developers.Working primarily with electronic, software, materials and mechatronic product developers.
Job overview:
- The mechanical product developer is responsible for mechanical components and sub-assembly development.
- The ideal candidate is an expert in design-for-manufacture (Injection moulding) and has a background in consumer or automotive products.
- Hands-on prototype and CAD skills (NX) are essential.
Skillset required:
- Hands-on prototype building using traditional workshop machinery (lathe, milling machine, drill press etc)
- 3D printing technology (i.e. SLS, SLA, FDM etc)
- Design & Development of mechanical motion components (i.e. springs, bearings, guides etc.)
- Design & Development of general Mechanical components (i.e. housings, supports, brackets etc)
- Design of injection molded components
- Design of rotational molded components
- Design of machined metal or alloy components
- Design of metal cast components
- Design of Sheet metal components
- Creating and editing technical drawings of Mechanical assemblies/components
- Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
- analysing tolerance stack
- Creating mechanical requirements & specifications.
