Overview
An excellent opportunity to increase regulatory knowledge and understanding of its application through providing business partnering to the RIIO Delivery Team and Finance Business Partners. Provide day to day support on all financial performance and revenue reporting aspects of the RIIO contracts. Contribute to negotiations with and submissions to the economic regulator which involve financial aspects of the RIIO contracts.
Responsibilities
Provide support and business partnering to the RIIO Delivery Team on financial performance and revenue reporting to enable effective and efficient delivery of RIIO contract requirements and negotiations.
Analytical support for the development and implementation of regulatory strategies in support of our submissions, negotiations, and risk mitigations with the economic regulator.
As part of a centre of excellence for the financial aspects of the RIIO contract (for Electricity Transmission, Gas Transmission), contribute to the provision of quality, timely advice to Finance and the business, in a way that non-specialists can readily understand and provides value adding insight.
Support value project activities as required across the RIIO Optimisation team utilising RIIO contract knowledge and financial modelling expertise in order to drive value and improved RIIO contract performance.
Support in establishing and transferring appropriate knowledge of the RIIO contracts and regulatory requirements across UK Finance and the business in order to support the business in making value adding decisions.
Skills and Experience
Role requires partially/fully qualified accountant or equivalent professional experience.
Business acumen, Stakeholder management, Team Working and Relationships, Understanding RIIO.
