Job Description:-
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of 8 years' experience with extensive technical knowledge of WebSphere MQ - building, configuring & tuning MQ across UNIX and Windows platforms
Proven extensive technical knowledge of MQ Clustering
Proven strong Scripting
Technical knowledge of Publish/Subscribe Administration
High levels of expertise in the principles of MQ Security (OAM and SSL)
Proven experience of MQ Currency Upgrades (multi-platforms)
Familiarity with monitoring products, eg IBM Tivoli Monitoring, Omegamon, MainView
HIGHLY DESIRABLE:
z/OS
o Technical knowledge of WebSphere MQ on z/OS (configuring, tuning, logging management)
o Technical knowledge of Coupling Facility and Queue-Sharing Group
o JCL and TSO/ISPF skills
MQ application development
Understanding of audit/compliance concepts
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
Strong team player who will train junior team members
Provide out of hours on-call support (24x7) on the team rota
Strong interpersonal skills, commitment to and good understanding of customer service requirements and key project deliverables
Ensure best practices for MQ environment are in place and adhered to.
Project Management skills
Has the ability to work on your own initiative
Development & maintenance of operational documentation
