Description

A Multimedia Development Officer (audio-visual) is required for our public sector client. The successful candidate will provide a specialist support service to staff within Learning & Development and internal and external stakeholders in relation to video production, Hydra simulation exercises, audio visual equipment, specialist and standard computer hardware equipment and software.

Experience required-

Recent and detailed knowledge and practical experience of video and audio recording and photographic equipment

Recent and detailed knowledge and practical experience of editing multimedia resources using industry standard software, ie Adobe Creative Cloud Photoshop and Premiere Pro

Knowledge and experience of computer and audio visual equipment fault diagnosis

Knowledge of computer operating systems and ability to install and configure software

Holds or working towards a HNC or Degree level qualification in a related discipline, ie film, media or multimedia production (or can demonstrate substantial experience in this field)

Knowledge of computer operating systems and ability to install and configure software.

Knowledge and experience of computer and audio visual equipment fault diagnosis

Demonstrates the ability to successfully complete the national Hydra Facilitators and Hydra Technical Courses.

Proven experience in translating ideas and concepts into effective video products for use within a learning context

Experience in the use of motion graphics and chroma key

Proven skills in the use of Adobe Creative Cloud After Effects

You will-

Manage the Hydra software system and communicator messaging centre and provide technical back-up support during the delivery of simulated learning events, including installation and management of all hardware and software components to the system.

Conduct needs assessment and plan objectives and strategies with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Instructional Designers and stakeholders for Hydra simulation exercises. Work closely with SMEs and L&D staff to develop high quality exercises and learning events, including designing, creating, producing and editing multimedia content.

Provide specialist advice to SMEs, stakeholders and L&D staff in the production and effective use of video as a learning methodology. Plan, produce and edit videos across a wide range of topics for use on various client learning platforms and within individual exercises. Apply a wide range of video effects, utilising specialist software, to ensure high quality, compelling video products that meet customer need and engage the end user.

Diagnose and resolve highly complex and/or unusual IT hardware and software faults on the Hydra client's systems.

Provide a quality audio-visual service to Police staff and external visiting speakers by ensuring that all specialised and standard equipment is operating effectively.

Share and implement good practice and new concepts to ensure continuous improvement of operating processes and service delivery.
