Cisco architect/VC Engineer/Video conferencing//Tandberg/Prince2
Cisco Architect required to join a governing body based in Brussels on a 12 month contract with the option to extend for another 12 months. As Cisco Architect you will mainly work on projects covering the design, the transition and continuous service improvement life cycles related to the Video Conference service. You are also implicated in the operations, acting as 3rd line of support for the troubleshooting of incidents.
Those incidents are assigned to you through an incident ticketing system or by the monitoring system.
Such as:
- NUPS II Service Desk Team
- Video conferencing reservation desk
- EC DIGIT Officials responsible for equipment related to the video conferencing system
- Third party suppliers or contracts
Day to day procedures will require:
Handle projects in the area of video conferencing and unified communications
Deliver technical and procedural innovations
Identify and resolve problems on the endpoints and core infrastructure
Initiate and follow-up technical cases with manufacturers and other teams
Implement changes to the core infrastructure
Coach and mentor colleagues
Perform standard or non-standard maintenance operations
Skills required:
Technical Skills of the Video conferencing consultant
o Experience in Tandberg and Cisco video conferencing systems, additional experience with other video conferencing brands is an asset.
o CCNP Switching/Routing.
o Very good knowledge of network functions (Active Directory, DHCP, DNS).
o Very good knowledge of SIP, H320, H323, XMPP and other UC standards is required.
o Very good knowledge of VC infrastructure equipment & concepts (gatekeeper, border controller, mcu).
o Very good knowledge of TMS ( Tandberg Management Suite) system.
o Certification in Video conferencing (eg CVE).
o ITIL V3 Foundation Certification.
o Experience of the Video conferencing consultant
o Experience with Project Management methodologies (PMP, PRINCE2) is an asset.
o Experience with the European Commission is an asset.
o Experience with MS Sharepoint as user is an asset.
o 7+ years of experience in video conferencing is mandatory.
o IT education background.
1 years contract plus one renewal.
Day rate of €550-€600 per day
