SAS Grid Architect (SAS Grid, Migration, Bank) - Manchester - £500-£550pd
Our blue chip client based in Manchester is looking for an experienced SAS Architect with strong SAS Grid background to work on a data centre migration programme.
Day responsibilities:
- Define the SAS Migration Strategy.
- Develop the SAS Migration patterns and approach.
- Design in conjunction with the Chief Architect and Customer the SAS migration facility required to support the programme.
- Produce and agree the SAS Migration Strategy, in line with the programme schedule, that enables Migration Wave Planning, Migration Event Planning and Migration Design.
- Produce and agree the specification for the specific infrastructure required to support Migration Events
- Produce and agree SAS Migration Patterns, by the end of the planning phase as defined in the programme schedule, that provide consistent and repeatable templates for migrating in scope technologies
- Review, comment on, assure and sign off the selected migration approach for each technology platform in scope
Essential skills and experience:
- Strong SAS Grid design and migration experience
- Ideally recent financial services experience
- Infrastructure experience
- Experience of working on data centre migration programmes
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Strong communication skills
This is a 3 months contract initially with a high possibility of an extension.
