We are now looking for a Senior IT Architect to join our team.
Job description
The Senior IT Architect, with selected main focus on the solution architecture in BSS/OSS and network interfacing domains, produces architectural plans and ensures that system solutions are designed in conformance with IT strategies and business needs, and that they satisfy the objectives, policies and principles that have been formulated in the IT architecture area. The person knows how business requirements are implemented in IT systems to be able to suggest optimal solutions and improvements. The role of the job holder is also to simplify the very complex IT architecture and make an automation of end-to-end process flows possible for better total cost efficiency.
In this role your main focus is on the solution architecture in BSS/OSS and network interfacing domains. You also produce architectural plans and ensure that system solutions are designed in conformance with IT strategies and business needs. You ensure that the satisfaction/quality level of the objectives, policies and principles within IT architecture area are met in everything you do. We are looking for a person who knows how business requirements are implemented in IT systems in order to develop optimal solutions and improvements. We expect this person to simplify our complex IT architecture and make automated end-to-end process flows in order to reach better cost efficiency.
You main tasks are to:
- Manage and make proposals to solve complex architectural issues, which may span over multiple technical and business domains
- Drive change in IT organization/IT systems with other experts by identifying migration and transformation objects for simplified system architecture and automated business processes
- Coordinate and make formal IT architectural decisions for IT architecture solutions in ongoing and planned development activities
- Work with and update continuously IT roadmaps/system strategies
- Consult and oversee business demands regarding architecture, and maintain the knowledge of the business processes and their evolution
- Ensure the optimal usage and consistency of data/information in both system and business layers
- Participate in IT transformation/migration planning and pre-studies to help Sonera to achieve simplified and more effective IT system architecture
Qualifications
The Senior IT Architect is expected to have a university degree with at least 5 years of experience in IT Architectures and related technologies preferably in the telecom domain. It is a benefit to have proven track record in working cross-border, experience in software development, business models, processes, strategies, and even of leading and steering projects. Naturally good teamwork skills and ability to work fluently in English and Finnish are expected.
