Oracle Application DBA
Whitehall resources are currently recruiting for an Oracle Application DBA Consultant for our client in Belgium.
Start: ASAP
Duration: 3 month rolling contract
Location: Belgium
Rate: EUR per hour all in
Request:
- Minimum 10 years of Oracle database experience (certified OCA or OCP)
- Extensive experience in drafting/reviewing data models, database
- performance and security
- Experience with data synchronization and possibly Oracle Golden Gate
- Oracle Application DBA - Administrator - Page 1 of 2
- Notions of data architecture and/or master data management
- Oracle Application DBA
- Oracle 11g/12c general knowledge
- Review of PL/SQL code
- Knowledge of Unix Scripting
- High sense of quality and adherence to standards Languages: Dutch/English
The Role:
- A challenge is to think about overall business logic in the database, data quality, master data management and integration between databases in general. Expanding the existing standards for data inconsistencies and incompatibility of our systems and applications
- Prevention is one of the important tasks that you control. It is enormously important that you have a thorough technical DBA knowledge to translations making the non-functional requirements (performance, resource pooling, indexing, transaction logging, query optimization) in the physical data model and data integration and/or synchronization.
- You also deploy the database changes on the corresponding development database and hand in the scripts for the next higher database environments.
- Because one of your tasks to support developers in the projects will be, you will use your excellent communication skills.
- Because you're set very flexible, you can quickly switch within your own team and within the project team.
- Last but not least, you are also responsible for establishing and ensuring of the security of database. You work here according to Oracle best practices and standards. You have experience in data synchronization and possibly Oracle Golden Gate. You advise on complex application developers, database related issues.
- The effective deployment and operational management of the databases is not below your job responsibilities.
