Description
The Bridge IT recruitment are currently recruiting for a contract DevOps engineer for a client based in Leeds for a 12 month contract, the client requires a candidate that has strong DevOps experience to work across an enterprise DevOps environment. This is a urgent requirement for the client and the start date is ASAP.
The location is central Leeds with good transport links.
Skills required:
- Strong commercial experience of managing complex multi-tier enterprise infrastructure environments
- automation and Scripting skills including use of a Scripting language such as Python or Ruby
- proficiency with Shell Scripting (eg BASH)
- In-depth knowledge of platform and application automated deployment eg (Cobbler, Puppet, Chef)
- Use of source code version control
- Excellent Linux/Unix system administration skills
- In depth knowledge of virtualisation platforms and cloud orchestration technologies such as VSphere, vDirector, Xenserver, Xen, Cloudstack and Openstack
