IT Support Officer - with some SQL + Web Development experience
Contract. Leeds. 3 months +. £13.50 per hour
One of our clients has an urgent requirement for an IT Support Officer - with some SQL + Web Development experience.
The purpose of the role is to specify and design simple application systems and their components to meet defined business needs and the creation, testing and documenting of new and amended programs from supplied specifications in accordance with agreed standards.
The successful candidate will assist in the provision of application maintenance, to both users of the system and to service delivery functions, investigating and resolving issues and providing information about systems and monitoring their performance. They will al so assist in the integration of software products into existing software environments to produce new platform specific version of the software products and assisting in the installation, testing, and implementation or decommissioning of appropriate software in accordance with agreed standards.
The successful candidate will have:-
Essential
- knowledge of and exposure to some of the following C#, SQL Server 2008 and subsequent versions, Windows OS, Internet Information Service (IIS), Visual Studio using .NET framework
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with 3rd party databases
- Ability to use own initiative and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Desirable
- Experience of using Delphi, XML, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, web developments, MS access, Exposure to Agile development methodologies
