Position Title: Mainframe Pcon

Wanted: Experts on Mainframe Technologies and Mainframe Modernization Experiences
As a Sr./Technology Architect - Mainframe Modernization Services, candidate will be an expert contributing to different phases of the Modernization life cycle. candidate will be intensely involved in Assessing current state of Mainframes, Interfaces within the Mainframe and with Distributed platforms and the overall Enterprise Architecture; candidate will also define the problem statements, propose and create solutions to address explicit and implicit problems and align with the future state of the Enterprise. Other critical activities will include client workshops, creation of client specific Point of Views, definition of Modernization Solutions, driving assessments towards creation of tangible solutions with a lucrative business case, working with alliance partners to provide best in class solutions for the client context and more.
You will also play an important role in the development, configuration and deployment of the overall solution. You will guide teams on the estimation, adoption of learnings & best practices, migration project processes, deliverables and contribute to the proposal development, client training and internal capability building and help detail the project scope. You will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.
Basic
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
Experience in IT and in Mainframe Technologies and experience on Mainframe Modernization/Migration projects
Preferred
Excellent communication and independent client handling skills, ability to drive workshops and senior leadership including CXO level connects at client sites
Experience in Mainframe technology consulting, Mainframe architecture and Legacy language experiences
Excellent knowledge of Portfolio level views of an Enterprise, Distributed Architectures and Hybrid Enterprise architectures involving multiple technologies and platforms
Experience in the design and delivery of large scale and complex projects, and working with global teams in a distributed delivery model
Experience in the delivery of large scale and complex transformation/modernization or migration projects across multiple technologies
Experience across of various Mainframe environments across Production & Dev/QA as well as Mainframe Batch, Online and Databases
Knowledge of and hands on experience with the Mainframe components such as CICS, IMS DC, JES, Schedulers, RACF
Knowledge of and hands on experience with 3 or more Mainframe languages such as JCL, Cobol, PL/1, Natural, Assembler, IMS, IDMS and others
Knowledge of and hands on experience with 1 or more non-Mainframe languages such as .NET, Java, Web Technologies, Thick Clients on Distributed platforms and integration with Legacy technologies etc.
Knowledge of and hands on experience with CM tools such as Changeman, Panvalet, Endevor, File handling tools such as FileAid etc. on Mainframe and TFS, GIT and/or others
Knowledge and/or experience of Mainframe data stores across 1 or more of IMS, IDMS, Adabas in addition to DB2 and file stores such as the VSAMs, GDGs etc.
Knowledge and/or experience of Mainframe profiling tools such as STROBE, APPTUNE, EXPEDITOR, DB2 profiling tools and others
Experience of and/or Knowledge of working with specialty processors on Mainframe and Linux facilities on the Mainframe
Experience of and/or Knowledge of Modernization products and accelerators including Source Code analysis, Mainframe emulation products and their relative strengths and weaknesses
Knowledge of and experience with various integration technologies across CICS Web Services, CTG, MQ Series, FTP, Micro-services, API Gateways etc. and handling of EBCDIC to ASCII conversions and binary formats etc.
Excellent analytical skills, understanding of market and technology trends
Experience and desire to work in a globally distributed consulting environment that requires regular travel
