Location: Akron, OH 44308

Client: Leading Energy Sector

Rate: $17.43 - $21.83/hr on w2 without benefits

Duration: 9 Months ( with possible extension/Hire )

Responsibilities:

  • Assist management and coworkers, following well-defined practices and procedures
  • Demonstrate a solid commitment to all aspects of safety
  • Conduct business-specific research, gather data, and compile reports and summaries
  • Provide sound internal and/or external customer service
  • Actively seek formal and informal learning opportunities to better understand procedures (based on proficiency level above)
  • Develop effective working relationships with employees in own work group
  • Establish a strong foundation in policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Processing of substation equipment data in Cascade.
  • Maintaining the integrity of substation equipment and related data in multiple databases, including Cascade and other asset systems maintained by the Asset Information & Tools department.
  • Recommending and implementing process changes based on data problems that are identified.
  • Querying datasets in multiple support systems (Cascade, SAP, others) and modifying systems for proper data management and procedural controls.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word
  • Demonstrate a questioning attitude to learn, produce results, and develop relationships (based on proficiency level above)
  • Knowledge of basic research techniques
  • Display analytical abilities, including problem solving and decision making (based on proficiency level above)
  • Deliver quality, accurate work within established deadlines (based on proficiency level above)
  • Basic communication skills; ability to work in a team environment
  • Time management skills.
  • Familiarity of transmission substation equipment and related attributes preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively convey information.
  • Excellent analytical abilities involving complex problems; exercise sound judgment; detail oriented.
  • Demonstrate a questioning attitude to continue to learn, produce results, and strengthen existing relationships.
  • Familiarity working with databases is preferred.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word.
