ILS Supportability Engineer - Defence
An ILS Supportability Engineer with experience in the Defence sector is required to work on a six month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our defence client based in Glasgow.
This is a 6 month contract working for a leading UK defence company.
Overview of the ILS Supportability Engineer contract role
As the ILS Supportability Engineer you will be responsible for analysing supplier data together with generating, maintaining and delivering our clients Initial provisioning list and related dependencies including, but not limited to, NATO codification activities, spares modelling including ranging & scaling of spares and Support & Test Equipment and producing subsequent reports. Execute supply support plans, requirements and processes.
Key skills required for the ILS Supportability Engineer
- Degree or HND/HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline (Mechanical/Electrical/Marine Engineering).
- Working knowledge of Def Stan 00-600, JSP 886, Def Con 117 and in-service support requirements.
- Good knowledge and awareness of supply support and its interactions with the wider ILS aspects and MOD infrastructure.
- Understanding and awareness of spares modelling techniques desirable but not essential.
The role is based in Glasgow - Commutable from Kilmarnock, Paisley, Greenock, Stirling and Falkirk with excellent access from Edinburgh.
