Description
We are currently looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our team in Schiphol, near Amsterdam, in the Netherlands for our government project.
You ideally have 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java development, alongside with specialisation in other area.
Role and Objectives
* Take ownership of design and implementation of one/multiple modules
* Perform requirements analysis to create high level design and low level design artefacts for individual
modules
* Implement J2EE modules based on High Level Design and as per the project's quality guidelines
* Perform Unit Testing of developed modules
* Perform root cause analysis of potential issues reported on production as well as test environments
* Implement fixes to address defects raised on the system
* Mentor Junior members of the team, manage their workload
* Provide status updates to project managers
* Perform code reviews for other members of the team
* Contribute towards best practices followed by the team.
Skill set and required Experience
* In-depth knowledge of Java with recent hands-on Java development
* Familiar with widely used Java frameworks
* Familiar with web technologies
* Knowledge of XML technologies
* Familiar with the development of database applications with Oracle and SQL
* Able to take responsibility for the delivery of high quality Java components from design through to client
delivery
* Architecture. JAVA Solutions Architecture ( 5+ years )
* App Development and Delivery Process
Database Oracle/SQL ( 2+ years )
Specialisations (the candidate should be an expert in at least one of the below mentioned skills/areas):
* Spring Framework
* web service development
* Jboss deployment
* Hibernate
* MVC
* AspectJ
* JBPM or alike.
* XML/Smooks desirable
* ZK Framework desirable
* Groovy Framework desirable
