The Role
The Test & Validation Technician role is to support Engineering fuel test rigs. This includes maintaining,diagnosing, repairing and calibrating test rig equipment.
The Electrical Test Rig Maintenance Technician will support all test rigs currently in operation. Providing effective maintenance measures when a Rig fails.
The Candidate
The Ideal candidate will have the ability to setup, maintain, trouble shoot, diagnose and rectify faults on electronic test systems. With the Client also currently going through a local relocation of site the Technician will also be involved in site move activities relating to the test house equipment, and will be able to assist the team with Rig issues and test harnesses post installation.
Tasks
Diagnosing faults on electrical,electronic,instrumentation and control systems
Building test rig circuits to meet test rig schematics
Supporting a range of fuel system tests such as hot and cold,vibration and simulated op.
Calibrating a range of test instrumentation: pressure transducers,thermocouples and drives
Maintaining and updating maintenance and calibration records
Maintaining master calibration equipment
Skills required
*Experience of working in a test environment
*Experience of electro-mechanical systems
*Qualified to BSTH Edition wiring regulations
Preferred experiences
*Experience of working on and diagnosing faults with AC/DC motors and inverter drives
*Desirable to have experience of test system hardware and software
You must be prepared to work shifts as this is a double day shift role
6am-2pm (week1), 2pm-10pm (week 2).
