Description
We're looking for an enthusiastic, confident and skilled Senior Magento Developer for a contract position at our development office in Cork. This will be a technically challenging but highly rewarding position for the right candidate, working on E-commerce solutions for our US clients. The role will require constant interaction with other developers, project managers and the client in order to develop and maintain innovative, robust and scalable solutions. The successful candidate for this role will have a minimum of 3 years commercial experience implementing high traffic web applications with highly dynamic user interfaces.
The Position:
The Senior Magento Developer is the expert who brings our creative concepts to life. You should a master of Magento and an expert with web technologies, as well as being a learning and continuous improvement advocate. Your expertise will be sought in requirement assessments, technical implementation planning, best practices development and client liaison. You're a solutions led person who provides accurate estimates and completes their projects on time. You work hand in hand with the creative and management team to bring our clients' digital marketing and E-commerce visions to life and are comfortable in leading a project from both a technical and delivery perspective.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-5 years PHP web development experience
- Minimum of 3 years real-world E-commerce experience with Magento development in the last 2 years
- Experience with both Magento 1.9 and 2.1
- Expert understanding of Magento's code structure, extension architecture, theming hierarchy, and fallback components
- Expertise in authoring and extending Magento extensions
- Thorough experience in customizing Magento's Front End components using layout XML, blocks, and templates
- Thorough knowledge of vanilla Magento feature set and configuration
- Magento Certification is a huge plu
- Experience developing with modern Front End frameworks, eg Bootstrap, as well as JavaScript frameworks, eg Ember.js, AngularJS, Backbone.js, React.js
