Functional Designer - Referential
12-month contract

This is working directly for one of the insurance company's central clients.
The client is central in our organisation. Consequently Referential is a strategic element of our whole IT system. Being in emission, disaster, Life Insurance, Employee benefits or tax system, correct data information about our clients is essential for the correct processing of contracts subscription, disaster treatment, or tax documents emission.
Education:
Bachelor, master in Information systems, computer science or a relevant domain (or equivalent through experience)
Required Skills
Mandatory
Relational database design techniques
Software development management (incl. configuration/release management)
Cobol development on Mainframe with DB2 Mainframe
Integration of different technologies (Wintel, Cobol)
SOA (service oriented architecture)
Knowledge of ESB (Enterprise service bus) principles.
Insurance or banking applications
Referential systems
Non-Life Insurance
Life insurance
Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team

The mission as Functional Designer:
You will translate our business needs and visions in detailed and precise Architecture/functional analyses.
You will establish sustainable and easy to maintain solutions.
You will regularly suggest improvement to development processes as well as for existing systems.
You will have a critical view on existing solutions or those proposed by the architecture.
You are very careful concerning the impacts of your solutions on the systems using our referential.
You provide your help, in cooperation with the Project manager, in planning preparation & follow up, and workload estimation
You prepare assume and follow-up the tests.
You manage your software delivery in the different environments from development up to production
You follow and coach the technical analysts and the programmers.
You stay informed on new technologies.
