Description
As an Oracle Middleware specialist, you will act as a subject matter expert within Oracle WebLogic, SOA and Identity Management Middleware technologies.
Overlapping periods of build/project tasks may be expected, however this is not part of the primary function.
- Manage, maintain, support and improve Oracle Middleware Infrastructure for hosted services. That includes but not limited to Oracle WebLogic, SOA, Identity Management and all associated tools.
- Develop and implement process and procedures to achieve a high level of Oracle Middleware management maturity
- Driving Continuous service and quality improvements - Proactively monitor, analyse, plan, deliver and measure/report
- Evaluate new technologies/trends and recommend changes
- Project/pipeline planning. Working closely with Architecture, Engineering, Service Management and Project management Office
- Cost/Budget monitoring and forecasting
- Carrying out reporting and documentation by the organisation's standards
- Risk assessment and management
- Acting as daily point of contact for the area. Incident Management escalation point

- At least 3-7 years of experience leading and/or managing small teams of technical specialists in a global distributed organisation within an Development, Operations or Delivery function
- At least 5 years of experience managing Oracle Middleware technology platforms.
- Previous roles might include Middleware Technical Lead, Middleware Lead, Service Delivery Lead
- Proven experience with Administration for Oracle WebLogic and SOA 11g/12c; Troubleshooting and resolving platform and/or application problems, Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting techniques.
- Knowledge of High Availability (HA) options for Oracle Middleware services
- Experience in implementing operational automation using scripts.
