Description
Our client, a UK based financial services sector organisation require the services of a Solutions Designer contract for an initial 3 to 6 month role based out of their Glasgow offices. The role is responsible for leading and supporting the design of strategic and innovative technical solutions as part of the clients wider Office 365 programme.
The successful applicant will work closely with Business and Technology colleagues to ensure that design options are evaluated and robust recommendations are made.
This will involve:
*Socialisation of designs for approval
*Working collaboratively with colleagues in give a high level view of both; what will be delivered, and how the team plans to deliver it.
*Ongoing governance of project delivery against agreed designs and impact assessments of change requests on the high level design
*Running of design forums and reviewing designs produced by others.
*Application of Data Management principles across all designs produced including creation/maintenance of the relevant artefacts
In order to be that successful candidate, you must be able to demonstrate the following:
*Experience and expertise in technical design roles with a particular background working as part of an Office 365 rollout
*Ability to work with both Business and Technology stakeholders to build personal credibility in shaping of solutions to business problems.
*Good influencing and interpersonal skills.
*Able to work successfully with others in the Solution Design competency, Enterprise Architects, as well as other designers within delivery teams as well as Business Analysts to ensure that designs adhere to agreed principles, policies and roadmaps
*A broad range of design experience - the role holder will be an experienced IT professional, with experience of influencing at a senior level.
