A Renewable Energy client is looking for an Offshore Operations Manager for their offshore windfarm project. Our client is looking for the Offshore Operations Manager to be able to commence this role from 1st November 2016 up until 31st October 2018 with the possibility of extending further thereafter. Working hours will be 5 days per day, up to 12 hrs a day. The Offshore Operations Manager will be responsible for managing, planning and coordinating of offshore site organisation and offshore installation activities relevant EPC projects etc.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure health & Safety for all activities offshore during execution phase
  • Ensure implementation of the HSE plan onsite and to establish a safety culture amongst all involved parties
  • To ensure proactive management, good cooperation, coordination, communication and securing of interface within offshore site organisation ensuring all offshore activities are aligned with the installation asset, scope of work, deliverables, reporting and agreed time schedule
  • Ensure documentation, recording and following up on overall offshore installation activities ensuring progress within the prescribed time (costs) quality and in a safe manner
  • To manage and secure maintenance and organisation setup of offshore installed assets in the interim period prior to handover to OFTO/O&M program for OFTO
  • Prepare interim hand-over procedure to O & M
  • Take part in tender process for ensuring compliancy with offshore site requirements
  • Chair of an efficient governance and meeting structures for the offshore installation activities
  • Report, follow up and communicate (day to day, weekly, monthly) HSE, progress, risks and results to construction Project Manager and EPC, supported by analysis and potential corrective actions when required
Qualification:
  • Educated to BSc level in Engineering or similar, with relevant work experience
  • Minimum 5 - 8 years documentation experience within construction management, preferably offshore activities in large scale wind farm projects
  • Minimum 5 - 8 years' experience documented leadership experience
