Commercial Manager - 6 month contract - Immediate Start
We are recruiting for one of the nation's largest commercial companies who provide an extensive range of construction services including construction management, general contracting, design and build and preconstruction.
The role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an established Commercial Manager to join our team in Woolwich, London working on a 6 month contract. As the successful candidate you will have experience of large multi-disciplinary Infrastructure projects and have an excellent track record of negotiating completion of significant subcontract. You will confidently be able to take the lead in notifying compensation events, reviewing all communications between the Client and the Contractor, be proficient with NEC 3 Option C contracts/Subcontracts and manage Surveyors dealing with a JV design contract being responsible for several disciplines within the team.
Key Requirements
- manage Commercial team dealing with a Highways JV and CrossRail Infrastructure projects
- management of subcontractors
- use of NEC 3 Option C
- analysis and submission of compensation events
- assess extensions of time and overhead entitlement
- ensure EWN's, PMI's and CE's are back to back with Client notifications
- negotiate final account
- assess cost to completion for design account
- compensations events
- ensure register of all correspondence and notifications between Client and Contractor is maintained
- review register on a weekly basis
- assess which correspondence or events result in compensation events
- review all EWN's and PMI's to assess result in compensation events
- manage preparation of compensation event notifications
- establish working relationship with Client's commercial department
- produce all necessary reports in relation to compensation events and Highways JV required for both Client and Contractor reporting regimes
- contribute to EVOS reporting requirements
- ad-hoc duties as required across the Infrastructure project by management
You
- fully qualified members of the RICS or ICES
- Degree qualified in a commercial subject
- analysis and problem solving skills
- good Interpersonal skills
- be self-motivated
- planning and organising skills
- working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook
- show confidence and professionalism
- ability to work on initiative and able to cope with changing environments
