Workflow Developer/Analyst

Columbia, SC

1 year+ contract with annual extensions & option to hire

*Due to security clearance eligibility requirements, only US citizens can be considered for this role. The clearance can be obtained after an offer of employment is made and is not a prerequisite.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test and deploy workflow solutions which are used by operational areas to improve department performance. This position works hand in hand with customer teams to analyze current department workflows, understand business needs and then build an automated solution to improve the areas' productivity.
  • Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems, and devise computer programs, systems and related procedures to process data using appropriate systems environment/platform. Document programs/procedures.
  • Evaluate and resolve system programming problems and coordinate implementation of modifications or enhancements. Evaluate interrelationships in immediate programming area to determine how changes in one program will affect another related area. Analyze and revise system logic. Recommend the development of new code or reuse of existing code.
  • Responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting application software/programs that are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Work closely with analysts and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. Participate in component and data architecture design, and performance monitoring.

Required Skills:

  • Four years of technical experience with systems analysis, design, and/or programming
  • Two years of experience using SQL in previous solutions
  • This person must be able to communicate effectively with business and technical areas. They should be comfortable working with people and be flexible when building solutions.

Desired Skills:

  • Workflow Systems like DocFinity, OnBase, FileNet, Documentum, or others. Specific training will be provided on the organization's technology.
  • Experience with defining process flows and solution systems to augment those processes
  • Java

Education/Equivalency:

  • Bachelor's degree or four years of combined education and work-related IT experience or a total of eight years of work-related IT experience
