Description
A Developer (GIS) is required for an initial 3 Month contract based in the North West. You will be responsible for the development of PostGIS databases and the development of QGIS project files. This is an urgent contract requirement with interviews happening as early as this week.
You will lead on the continued exposure of Spatial Data through OGC standards. You will improve existing processes and develop ETL processes that improve the clients spatial intelligence. You will support the Spatial Intelligence Team in developing spatial intelligence and empowering teams across the business to improve the quality and accessibility of statutory and non-statutory datasets.
Technical Skills Required:
- Strong SQL and Python Scripting skills
- Minimum 5 years' experience of implementing PostGIS
- Experience of Implementing QGIS
- Knowledge of using Ordnance Survey PSMA datasets
- Knowledge OGC standards such as WMS, WFS, WFS-T
- Experience of Business Analysis within a GIS context
- 5 years' experience of implementing GIS software
Rate - £330 per day
