Senior Data Analyst - ETL (Talend), Apache, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, SQL, JIRA, Confluence is required by my client who is based in London
My client is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to help provision valuable business data to the Data Platform. The candidate will work closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Products Owners across multiple areas to translate business requirements into usable data that is accurate, up-to-date, and provides valuable insights.
Required Skills
- Leading small teams of Data Analysts and Engineers
- Agile backlog and sprint management including estimation, backlog management, sprint planning, sprint reviews
- Data warehousing delivery experience and expertise
- Translating data requirements between business teams and technical teams
- Building relationships with people and getting things done in a large organisation
- Exploring, modelling, and transforming data
- Test data creation
- Relational and non-relational databases, and use cases for each
Required Experience
- Apache Hadoop, Spark and Kafka
- ETL and Data Quality tools (eg Talend)
- SQL
- Datamodelling Tools (eg ERwin)
- JIRA and Confluence
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a scrum team of Data Analysts and Data Engineers to design and develop ETL functionality to bring data into the Data Platform and transform it into the required structures to satisfy the need of the platform's consuming business users
- Analyse data sources and identify gaps between non-technical business requirements and technical realities
- Evaluate and specify necessary transformation logic, business logic, and preparation to support needs of business
- Create data models for staging, information, and knowledge layers
- Capture business data quality rules and data cleansing rules
- Care about your craft, build a network of contacts in the business, and learn something new about the business every day
- Feed your insights to the product team to continuously improve the platform
- Be diligent and positive about issue tracking and sharing knowledge
